  • Find your local BLM chapter and donate.  The Black Lives Matter Foundation, founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer, is a global organization seeking to eradicate white supremacy, build local power to combat violence inflicted on Black communities, create space for Black imagination and innovation, and center Black joy.

  • The Invisible Institute: an investigative journalism non-profit responsible for the Citizens Police Data Project, a public database containing the disciplinary/misconduct histories of Chicago police officers and providing media literacy education to Black youth.

  • Project Roar: Community fund dedicated to providing resources and outreach programs to Texas’ rural areas. They’ve expanded their services to include emergency jail and bail.

  • Buy Black Atlanta: Community group fund to support and repair Black-owned businesses in Atlanta that were damaged during the protests.

  • Campaign Zero: Organization that utilizes research-based policy solutions to end police brutality in the U.S.

  • Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) is a non-profit organization, based in Montgomery, Alabama, that provides legal representation to prisoners who may have been wrongly convicted of crimes, poor prisoners without effective representation, and others who may have been denied a fair trial.

  • The Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights, formerly called the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, is an umbrella group of American civil rights interest groups and the nation's oldest, largest, and most diverse civil and human rights coalition.

  • Unicorn Riot: Nonprofit media collective dedicated to exposing the root causes of social, economic, and environmental issues.

  • Black Visions Collective: Minnesota-based Black, trans, and queer-led organization committed to dismantling systems of oppression and violence.

  • Reclaim the Block: Coalition that advocates for and invests in community-led safety initiatives in Minneapolis neighborhoods.

  • The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, which supports racial justice through advocacy, litigation, and education.

  • Communities United Against Police Brutality, which operates a crisis hotline where people can report abuse; offers legal, medical, and psychological resource referrals; and engages in political action against police brutality.

  • Northstar Health Collective, a St. Paul–based organization that provides health services and support at protests.

  • The Conscious Kid is an education, research and policy organization dedicated to reducing bias and promoting positive identity development in youth

  • National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) — For more than 40 years, the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) has been at the forefront of engaging leaders, policymakers, professionals, and parents around critical and timely issues that directly impact Black children and their families.

  • No New Jails NYC aims to keep the city from constructing new jails, and to instead divert funds that currently go toward the police and incarceration toward housing, ending homelessness, mental health, and other community support systems.

  • The Know Your Rights Camp, an organization founded by Colin Kaepernick that provides education and training in Black and brown communities, set up a legal fund for Minneapolis protestors.

  • Fair Fight, an organization founded by Stacey Abrams that aims to end voter suppression and equalize voting rights and access for fairer elections

  • National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls aims to end incarceration by providing a membership platform of technical support, complex coalition building, and comprehensive resources that assist local initiatives

  • NAACP, which exists to to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons

  • Decolonize This Place is an action-oriented movement and decolonial formation in New York City. Facilitated by MTL+, DTP consists of over 30 collaborators, consisting of grassroots groups and art collectives that seek to resist, unsettle, and reclaim the city. 

  • Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.

  • United Negro College FundUNCF’s mission is to build a robust and nationally-recognized pipeline of under-represented students who, because of UNCF support, become highly-qualified college graduates and to ensure that our network of member institutions is a respected model of best practice in moving students to and through college.

  • Black Youth Project 100 — focused on community organizing, voter mobilization, and other social justice campaigns focused on black, feminist, and queer issues

  • Color of Change designs campaigns and petitions powerful enough to end practices that unfairly hold Black people back, and champion solutions that move us all forward

  • The Sentencing Project works for a fair and effective U.S. criminal justice system by promoting reforms in sentencing policy, addressing unjust racial disparities and practices, and advocating for alternatives to incarceration.

  • Families against Mandatory Minimums seeks to create a more fair and effective justice system that respects our American values of individual accountability and dignity while keeping communities safe.

  • A New Way of Life provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison.

  • Dream Defenders is a multiracial group of young people organizing to build power in their communities to advance their vision of safety and security —  away from prisons, deportation, and war — and towards healthcare, housing, jobs and movement for all.

  • Project NIA works to end the incarceration of children and young adults by promoting restorative and transformative justice practices

  • The BU Center for Antiracist Research seeks to convene and team up varied specialists to figure out practical ways to understand, explain, and solve seemingly intractable problems of racial inequity and injustice.

  • The Audre Lorde Project is a center for queer POC community organizing through mobilization, education and capacity-building, working towards community wellness and progressive social and economic justice. 

  • Black Women’s Blueprint works to place Black women and girls’ lives and struggles squarely within the context of the larger racial justice concerns of Black communities by building movements where gender matters in broader social justice organizing so that all members of our communities gain social, political and economic equity.

  • Colorlines is a daily news site featuring investigative reporting and news analysis from the perspective of communities of color.

  • MPowerChange is the largest Muslim-led social and racial justice organization in the US

  • The National Domestic Workers Alliance is the nation’s leading voice for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States and works for respect, recognition, and inclusion in labor protections for domestic workers, the majority of whom are immigrants and women of color.

  • RAICES is a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees.

  • Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national network of groups and individuals working to undermine white supremacy and to work toward racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability.

  • SisterSong is a Southern-based, national membership organization seeking to build an effective network of individuals and organizations to improve institutional policies and systems that impact the reproductive lives of marginalized communities.

  • United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led community in the country creating welcoming spaces for young people – regardless of immigration status – to support, engage, and empower them to make their voices heard.

  • The Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative is a human rights education organization whose work consists of raising awareness and educating Muslim communities on issues of racial justice and internalized, interpersonal, and institutional racism.
